My teeth are horrible... not to mention my finances are bad... Id post a pic.. but id be embarrassed and I need to get them pulled and dentures put in the bottom... I have an infection right now. And am in pain. I tried to apply for the credit card type thing lol for the teeth to no avail cannot get them... I feel at a loss and im feeling sick from this infection and my medicaid docs do nothing but just pull them they are horrible dentists here. Wish there were dentists that would help much better here. Cant afford to get the dentures just the pullings and the dentist is awful... nevermind the fact that my rent is behind ... so Im just venting... lol and realizing that fretting is not helping. just gonna vent ... everyone take it easy!
I have had 38 years dentistry done: I am 50 years old today: 38 years of orthodontistry, then dental splinting for jaw problems, then a full mouth restoration, then all the teeth but the lower 6 front teeth removed in two separate operations. I am now "dentured." I am in fact, mal-dentured. They did not consider my history at every step. Each Dentist did his "thing" without careful consideration of the history. That is the BIG LESSON to heed. Also, what they do not tell you is that there is a consequence with each thing that is done that messes even with the painful or messed up conditions "existing" if you do not get a right diagnosis: and with multiple DX there is ever greater risks. My recommendation is that you get at least 3 opinions unless you need emergency pain relief. Root Canals are stupid. Avoid Amalgams. [READ READ READ]. Avoid them at all cost. Read. Study about the bad dentistry out there. There is a lot of mainstream dentistry that brings people into problems sooner or later. "Root canal cover up" is a good book to read. Read Weston Price's info. Read Huggins; Briener; Levy; other experienced MD's who have learned about poor dentistry and what well intentioned conventionalist dentists have done. Be careful. Be thorough. I would advise that you get in touch with Dr. Wesley Shankland in Ohio. He is known as the PainDr. [Dentist].
Hello I definitely know how it feels to have a bad toothache. Have you thought about getting a second opinion? Reason I say that is, I have gotten 3 opinions from 3 dif dentists before. I went with the third because he found not as many problems as the other dentists( I know they were exaggerating it's sad) and he cost less. The work he did on my teeth was great. Also if his teeth are that bad maybe instead of all the root canals and crowns it would be better and cheaper to get them all pulled and go for false teeth. Maybe save the ones that just need fillings and get a partial for the ones that need to be pulled. Also, you should check into your county hospital or dental schools in the area, they can often help for much cheaper. Good luck!
Tommy is my stepson. He recently came to leave me in order to get his life together and start attending college. He wants to go to nursing school. I noticed Tommy did not smile. I asked why and he opened up to the fact that his teeth for the past 5 yrs have been breaking and cracking and rotting. I asked to look and was appalled. He had a very bad tooth ache, so we got him into the dentist. The dentist said " I don't even know where to begin. " Bottom line is all together Tommy needs close to 10,000 dollars in dental work. He needs it urgently and quickly and we can't afford it. I am asking for help as my heart breaks for this kid. He is good looking and sweet, and is in pain a lot with his teeth. I can't imagine how bad it is as I have been fortune and not had issues with my teeth. He needs cavities filled, root canals, caps, removal of wisdom teeth and bridge work. There is no way he can come up with this kind of money. Any wisdom, or help would be very appreciated.
